The Season at a glance!
Okay: here are all the results and a few stats about our season:
Scorers: The best thing about this season was the great combination of having our strikers scoring a lot of goals, whoever was playing there, plus lots of other people chipping in.
Irial: 16
Dave H: 9
Leo: 6
Luke, Dave M, Mark, Manolo: 3
Luis, Ryan, Nate: 2
Jaime, David B, Norberto, Johnny, Andrew, France: 1
Own Goals: 2
That's 57 goals in total (plus 2 we got for free the the first game v Sporting Club), so 59 in 24 games. Pretty good.
Assists. If someone wants to go through and work it out they can. I got 10, so that's 39 more to work out if you take into account that fact that we got two free kicks and six penalties. I would say Leo and Dave H had a fair few though. Boh...
Awards: Well done to the people who deserved them, i.e. everyone but me:
1. Player of the season: Luke
2. Fans' player of the season: Irial
3. Goal of the season: David Messi Horan
4. Top scorer: Irial for the third consecutive year
5. Club player of the season: Charles
6. Most improved player: Johnny
Bad boys: Ernesto got six bookings and one sending off in far less than half a season's worth of games!
Dom didn't get booked all season I know, or get any goals, but finally got an assist, a little bit by accident, in the last game. Anyone else not get booked who played a few games?
Penalties: We didn't miss any penalties this season - six out of six - all of them were crucial too. Mark 3, Manolo 2, Luke 1. Teams continued to miss them against us though.
